Auster, Paul
To jeden z najwybitniejszych pisarzy amerykańskich swego pokolenia. Studiował literaturę francuską, angielską i włoską. Jest poetą, krytykiem, eseistą, tłumaczem i autorem scenariuszy filmowych Dym, Brooklyn Boogie, Lulu na moście – ten ostatni film także reżyserował. Jego pozycję ugruntowały powieści: Księga złudzeń, Timbuktu, Nieczyste zagranie, Lewiatan, W kraju rzeczy ostatnich, Muzyka przypadku, Mr Vertigo.
